your journey starts here

How it works:

Stage 1: Scoping the Problem

In this stage, you will determine how many hours you have to reclaim, through a high-level observation of your day-to-day screen time behaviors.

stage 2: life evaluation

In this stage, you will evaluate where you are in eight critical areas of your life and determine where you would like to focus with the time you will be reclaiming from addictive technology.

STage 3: behavior selection

In this stage, you will select the specific behaviors you would like to implement, based on the life outcomes you determined you want in stage 2.

stage 4: identifying triggers

In this stage, you will identify, in detail, the common situations in life where you find yourself losing significant amounts of time to unintentional screen time.

stage 5: behavior replacement

In this stage, you will implement the behavior replacement. It is the most involved stage of the course.

stage 6: what comes next

This stage is mostly a conclusion, acknowledgements, and how to continue on your path to a better life!

Note: Behavior experts estimate that it takes anywhere between 21 and 66 days for new behaviors to stick. This means that reclaiming your time is not something that will happen overnight. Many of our common activities on screen, particularly social media platforms were designed to be addictive and overcoming addiction is not easy. The desire to make quick progress on personal initiatives like this one is admirable. It’s also hard to deny the extensive number to things we have competing for our time, energy and attention. However, the extent of this problem necessitates some prolonged effort and delayed gratification.
